About The Watt Guide

One place to compare power stations, solar generators and plug-in solar, instead of four manufacturer websites that all claim to be best.

Why this site exists

Buying a battery is unreasonably hard. Every manufacturer quotes capacity in a slightly different way, every review site tests a different subset, and the specification that decides whether something suits you — cost per usable watt-hour — is published by nobody.

The Watt Guide puts the same figures side by side for the brands that matter, and explains what they mean in terms of things people actually own: a fridge, a CPAP machine, a router, a van.

What we cover

How we pay for it

Affiliate commissions. If you buy through a link here we may earn a percentage, at no extra cost to you. We also cover products that pay us nothing at all — Bright Saver is a nonprofit with no affiliate programme and it is genuinely the cheapest way into plug-in solar, so it is on the site.
