Bluetti AC200MAX Review
The expandable one — 2,048Wh today, four times that later if you need it.
Computed from this unit’s published specification, not from a manufacturer claim. Method and the full catalogue comparison are in our power station price index.
The short version
The AC200MAX takes Bluetti’s most useful capacity and adds external battery expansion, up to roughly 8,192Wh with add-on packs. That single feature changes how you buy: you can start with what you need now and grow it, rather than guessing your requirement up front.
Buy it if you suspect your needs will grow — a longer outage, a bigger van build, a second fridge. Look elsewhere if you are confident 2,048Wh is your ceiling. Then the AC200L gives you the same capacity with more output, usually for less.

AC200MAX or AC200L?
Same capacity, different arguments. The AC200L is the newer unit with higher continuous output (2,400W vs 2,200W) and generally better pricing. The AC200MAX earns its place on expansion.
Expansion is worth more than people expect and less than the marketing implies. Worth more, because the honest answer to “how much do I need” is usually “more than I thought after my first real outage.” Worth less, because the add-on packs are not cheap — buying the capacity up front is often the better deal if you already know you need it.
