BLUETTI AC180 vs AC180P vs AC180T

Bluetti sells four power stations called AC180 and the names do not tell you which is which. Here is what actually separates them, from the published figures.

Published

The short answer

The headline is an inversion: the AC180P holds 288Wh more than the AC180 and lists for $30 less. On the published figures there is no reason to buy the base AC180 over the AC180P at these prices. The AC180T costs $350 more than the AC180P for 6Wh less capacity and 23 lb more to carry. It is the heavier-build variant, not the bigger-battery one.

What actually differs

Across all four, the inverter is the same: 1,800W continuous, 2,700W surge, 4 AC outlets, 500W of solar input and 1,440W from the wall. The cells are LiFePO4 rated for 3,500 cycles throughout. So none of these variants runs a heavier appliance than any other, and none recharges faster than any other. What changes between them is how much energy they hold, what they weigh, and what they cost.

  • AC180 — 1,152Wh, the baseline, $679.
  • AC180P — 1,440Wh, the most capacity of the four, $649.
  • AC180T — 1,434Wh but 58.4 lb against 35.3 lb for the others, at $999.
  • AC180 Solar — the catalogue records specifications identical to the base AC180. It is the panel bundle rather than a different power station, and Bluetti does not publish a panel wattage we can cite, so treat the listing price as configuration-dependent and check what is in the box before ordering.

What the capacity difference buys you

Full-size fridge (50W avg)19 hr 35 min24 hr24 hr

55-inch TV (90W)10 hr 53 min13 hr 36 min13 hr 33 min

Capacity divided by draw, with 15% taken off for inverter losses. The gap between the AC180 and the AC180P is about 4 hr 54 min of extra fridge time, which is the practical size of that 288Wh.

Which AC180 to buy

  • The AC180P for almost everyone. It is the largest battery of the four and, at the prices in this table, not the most expensive.
  • The AC180 only if it is discounted below the AC180P. The two are the same machine apart from the cell count.
  • The AC180T if the build matters more than the price. You are paying $350 over the AC180P and carrying more weight for it, without gaining capacity.
  • The AC180 Solar only once you have confirmed which panel ships with it, since that is what the price turns on.

AC180 variant questions

What is the difference between the BLUETTI AC180 and AC180P?

Capacity, and nothing else that is published. The AC180P holds 1,440Wh against the AC180 at 1,152Wh, a difference of 288Wh. Inverter output, surge, solar input, wall charging, outlet count, chemistry and cycle rating are identical across both. At the prices we hold, the AC180P is also the cheaper of the two.

Is the AC180T just a bigger AC180?

No. The AC180T holds 1,434Wh, which is fractionally less than the AC180P, and weighs 58.4 lb against 35.3 lb. The extra money goes on the build, not on the battery.

Do the AC180 variants all charge at the same speed?

Yes. All four are rated at 1,440W from the wall and 500W from solar. A larger battery at the same charge rate simply takes proportionally longer to fill.

How we compare these

Every figure here is Bluetti’s own, held in the same catalogue we use for all 437 products on the site, and the derived numbers are calculated the same way everywhere. Where the catalogue holds no figure the cell stays empty rather than being filled with an estimate, and where two listings carry identical specifications we say so instead of inventing a distinction to justify a price gap.
