What you give up is the polish. The apps, the support infrastructure and the resale value are all a step behind the established names. That is a reasonable trade if the numbers matter more to you than the badge.

How to compare it fairly
Do the arithmetic that neither brand publishes: divide price by usable watt-hours. That is the number that shows where a challenger brand genuinely wins, and it is why OUPES is worth a look even if you had not heard of it.
Then check the two things that separate cheap from good: cell chemistry (LiFePO4, not NMC) and continuous inverter output, which decides whether it starts your appliances at all.
