Where Renogy sits
Renogy is not really a competitor to Jackery or EcoFlow, even though it appears in the same searches. Those brands sell sealed boxes where every decision has been made for you. Renogy sells the pieces — panel, controller, battery, inverter — and expects you to choose and wire them. That is cheaper per watt-hour and far more flexible, and it is the wrong answer entirely if you wanted something that works out of the box.

How to compare it fairly
Comparing a Renogy battery to a portable power station on price alone always flatters Renogy, because the power station includes the inverter, the charge controller, the wiring and the case. Add those to the Renogy side before you decide anything. What survives that comparison is the real argument: a wired system costs less per watt-hour at scale, can be repaired a piece at a time, and can be expanded without buying a matched proprietary pack.

Alternatives
If you want the flexibility but not the wiring, the closest thing is an expandable power station — a Bluetti or EcoFlow unit that takes extra battery packs. If you want the lowest cost per watt-hour and are happy with a fixed install, Renogy is usually the cheaper end. The finder will size the sealed-box option for you if you want a baseline to compare against.
