Folding vs rigid
Folding panels pack flat, carry easily and prop themselves up. They cost more per watt and produce slightly less than an equivalent rigid panel, but for anyone recharging a power station they are the obvious choice.
Rigid panels are cheaper per watt and last longer outdoors. They are what you want bolted to a van roof, a shed or a cabin — anywhere they will be mounted once and left.

Sizing a panel to a station
The panel needs to match what the station will accept. Every station lists a maximum solar input in watts and a voltage range; exceed the voltage and it simply refuses to charge, or worse.
As a rough guide, to refill a 1,000Wh station in a single good day you want around 400W of panel. Real-world output is well below the sticker figure once you account for angle, temperature and cloud.
Panels almost never hit their rated output. A 200W panel in genuinely good conditions gives perhaps 150–170W. Plan around 70–80% of the rating and you will not be disappointed.
